ISOVIT CORK is a complete external wall insulation system that combines expanded cork insulation boards with Natural Hydraulic Lime based mortars and mineral finishes.
It is designed for breathable, durable and high-performance façades in both new build and retrofit projects.
The system delivers strong thermal performance, acoustic protection and long-term durability while supporting moisture-safe construction.
SYSTEM OVERVIEW
ISOVIT CORK combines a traditional ETICS build-up with 100% natural expanded cork panels across the full external envelope of the building.
The cork insulation panels provide:
- Thermal conductivity λ = 0.037–0.040 W/m.K
- High thermal inertia
- Acoustic and anti-vibration performance
- Dimensional stability
- Vapour permeability
- Service temperature from -180ºC to +120ºC
APPLICATIONS
EXTERNAL WALL INSULATION, EWI
ISOVIT CORK is primarily designed as a vapour-open ETICS system for external wall insulation.
Suitable for:
- Solid masonry retrofit
- Concrete structures
- Timber frame, with correct detailing
- Residential and commercial façades
- New build and refurbishment
The system improves thermal performance while maintaining breathability and long-term façade protection.
INTERNAL WALL INSULATION, IWI
Expanded cork insulation boards, used with compatible lime-based mortars and mineral finishes, can also be applied internally as part of a breathable insulation strategy.
Suitable for:
- Solid wall internal upgrades
- Heritage and traditional buildings
- Moisture-sensitive structures
- Partial room-by-room retrofit
Internal applications must be correctly designed with moisture assessment, junction detailing and condensation risk analysis.
