How We Work

We take a practical, system-based approach to using cork in buildings.

Our focus is on selecting materials and systems that work with the building, its existing fabric and the conditions it is exposed to.

Understanding the Building

Every project starts with the building itself.

We consider the existing construction, substrate, exposure, condition and intended use to determine where cork-based solutions are appropriate.

System-Based Approach

We don’t treat materials in isolation.

Isolocork Spray cork and expanded cork insulation boards can be used individually or as part of wider building systems, with attention to breathability, moisture management and compatibility with the existing fabric.

Material Selection

Different applications require different approaches.

We advise on suitable cork products, system build-ups and finishes based on the requirements of the project and the existing construction.

Application & Installer Support

Correct application is an important part of system performance.

CorkEco supplies the materials and provides technical guidance, application training and support to contractors and trained Isolocork applicators. We can also help clients find an applicator through our growing UK network.

Ongoing Performance

Our aim is to provide solutions that protect building fabric, support moisture management and reduce unnecessary maintenance.

Breathable and flexible cork-based systems can be particularly useful in retrofit and refurbishment, where compatibility with existing materials is important.

We work with architects, contractors and building owners from early project discussions through to material supply and application support.
